Steep rise in cardiovascular disease expected through 2060

Cardiovascular disease is already the #1 killer in America, but now the incidence of expected to skyrocket through 2060 (click here). This is due to rising rates of type 2 diabetes, elevated cholesterol, high blood pressure, and obesity. This will lead to more ischemic heart disease, congestive heart failure, heart attack, peripheral vascular disease, and stroke.

Comments: We cannot treat our way out of this problem, but we can prevent our way out. Type 2 diabetes, elevated cholesterol, high blood pressure, and obesity can all be prevented or reversed through diet and lifestyle. By following the same health recommendations I give to my cancer patients (click here), you can increase your chances of living a long and healthy life free of cardiovascular disease.
