Snoring can severely deprive the body of sufficient oxygen. Laboratory studies have also shown that intermittent hypoxia (low oxygen levels) promotes tumor growth. Lack of oxygen stimulates the generation of blood vessels that nourish tumors, a process known as angiogenesis.
