Sugar doesn’t just feed existing cancer cells, it may also create them according to a recent study published in the Journal of Clinical Investigation (click here). Researchers found that increased glucose intake can promote the early stage of cancer-cell creation. They also found that by reducing glucose intake, early-stage cancer cells can turn back into normal cells. In other words, sugar is both carcinogenic (cancer-causing) as well as acting as fuel for cancer cells that already exist.
The best advice is to avoid adding sugar to your food and beverages, and avoid all sweets and processed foods.
