Are you someone that cites a lack of time as the reason for a non-existent exercise routine? Well, now there is good news. A study recently published in the European Heart Journal (click here) found that a “brisk” (3-4 mph) walk for just 7 minutes a day can reduce the risk of the #1 killer of heart disease. Interestingly, a daily leisurely stroll for twice as long (14 minutes) did not have the same benefits. Also, in a recently published study in the Journal of Epidemiology & Community Health (click here), 7 minutes of brisk walking daily was found to improve cognitive function, including memory, planning, and organizational skills.
