In a recent study published in the leading medical journal Lancet, researchers from Yale and Oxford universities found that people who exercise regularly are markedly happier than people who don’t, even if they have less income. Income seems to have less of an impact on happiness than previously thought. The researchers also found that more and more exercise was not associated with more and more happiness. For the most potent effect on happiness, the “sweet spot” was exercising 3 days a week for 30-60 minutes.
