Red wine is bad for you

In a landmark medical report issued by the British government, the supposed health benefits of red wine are outweighed by the health risks. The dangers of alcohol are far greater than previously thought. Even when consumed in extreme moderation (i.e., very small amounts), red wine can increase the risk of several types of cancer, including breast. The long-held belief that red wine can somehow slow the aging process and cut the risk of cancer, heart disease, and dementia, was found to be completely false. To obtain these health benefits, there is a better (and safer) way: Exercise and healthy eating.

Comments: The “anti-aging” compound called resveratrol that is found in red wine is a two-edged sword. In small amounts, resveratrol may slow the aging process. Too much, however, may have the opposite effect by speeding the aging process.
